About Me
- Name: Sarah E. Ferrell
- Location: Little Rock, AR, United States
I'm a bundle of contradictions. I was born in Arkansas but grew up in northern Illinois--when I first moved back to Arkansas I used to say "I'm a Midwestern girl who just happens to be from the South." Now I feel fully Arkansan. My bachelor's degree is in French, but my master's degree is in psychology. I was raised by staunch Republicans, but I have always been a bleeding-heart liberal--I quit eating meat at age ten for ideological reasons. After reading as much of The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan as I could stomach, I decided it was time to align my choices with my beliefs again, after 25 years of eating Big Macs and virtually any kind of sausage I could get my hands on. I love the way exercise makes me feel, but when you get right down to it, my body is just there to carry my head around.
